B
Bamtree
A balsam poplar native to northern Eastland. Alone a rather uninspired tree; more confident in a grove, where they grow fat and give off a wonderfully distracting fragrance.
Bantums (Bantum Folk)
A race of people-animals on Alonadee. Natives of Southland. Wee in nature, but mighty in poetry.
Bearberry
A shrub found in central and eastern Eastland. White berries, with a deep-pink juice that is rather sweet. Sometimes used by children to stain the cheeks and lips in the fashion of the northerners.
Beed
A first-shape and elder star. Inventor of poetry and Reyon. Companion to Kee. Compassionate, in awe of splendor, and a lover of comets.
Bethee Brottin-Mont
A Mont of Tall White Pines. Younger sister to Hunter.
Blue-tailed deer
A mid-sized ungulate common all over Eastland. The fluff under its tail has a bluish tinge. Otherwise, it is rather plainly deerish.
Blue-tailed hawk
A common hawk found all over Eastland. A fierce hunter but often overlooked, for it is more modest than the eagle, and not as lucky as the owl.
Brother Crane
A mythical bird who told proverbial tales to young Pinopsida.
Buckmoth
A large, furry moth native to Eastland. Especially attracted to fairy light.
